Caramilk Biscuit Truffles

Caramilk, need I say more, the ultimate indulgence this Christmas and one that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. The original recipe was found on Taste and I couldn’t resist giving it a go.

Ingredients:

  • 250g pkt Malt ‘O’ biscuits
  • 1/2 cup flaked almonds, toasted
  • 3x180g blocks Cadbury Caramilk chocolate, chopped
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk

Method:

  • Place biscuits and almonds in a food processor and blend until fine crumbs form and the mixture resembles sand. Transfer to a large bowl
  • Place one block of Caramilk chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on medium, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until smooth
  • Add the melted chocolate and condensed milk to to the biscuit mixture, stir until well combined
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper and roll one tablespoon of mixture into a ball. Transfer to tray and repeat with remaining mixture. Place in the freezer until firm.
  • Place the remaining chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on medium, stirring every minute with a metal spoon until smooth.
  • Use a fork to dip balls in melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Return to the tray and place in the fridge until set.
