Healthy Chocolate Crackle Image

These super simple chocolate crackles with a healthy twist are a great recipe to get the kids involved with. 

Makes 12

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup cacao
  • 1/3 cup organic honey
  • 2 ½ cups organic puffed rice
  • ½ cup shredded coconut

Method:

  • Place coconut oil, cacao, and honey in a small saucepan.
  • Heat on low and stir until all ingredients are combined.  Set aside to cool.
  • Once cooled transfer to a large mixing bowl, add puffed rice, shredded coconut and stir until puffed rice is coated.
  • Divide mixture between 12 patty pans.
  • Place in freezer until set.

Note:

  • Once set store in the fridge to keep coconut oil firm and crackles mixture bound.
  • Not lunch box suitable as the coconut oil will liquify at around 24 degrees.
