These super simple chocolate crackles with a healthy twist are a great recipe to get the kids involved with.
Makes 12
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/3 cup cacao
- 1/3 cup organic honey
- 2 ½ cups organic puffed rice
- ½ cup shredded coconut
Method:
- Place coconut oil, cacao, and honey in a small saucepan.
- Heat on low and stir until all ingredients are combined. Set aside to cool.
- Once cooled transfer to a large mixing bowl, add puffed rice, shredded coconut and stir until puffed rice is coated.
- Divide mixture between 12 patty pans.
- Place in freezer until set.
Note:
- Once set store in the fridge to keep coconut oil firm and crackles mixture bound.
- Not lunch box suitable as the coconut oil will liquify at around 24 degrees.
